Absolutely! Ensuring that your firewood is well-seasoned and tested for moisture content before delivery is essential for optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Our firewood is seasoned for a minimum of 12 months, allowing it to dry thoroughly and reach the optimal moisture content. This process enhances the burning efficiency and heat output, providing you with a superior firewood experience.
Absolutely, we can deliver firewood to properties with tight driveways, but it's essential to ensure that the designated drop-off area is accessible and safe for our delivery trucks. Here are some key considerations to facilitate a smooth delivery:
• Clearance Space: Ensure the area where the wood will be dumped is clear of obstacles such as overhanging powerlines, trees, carports, poles, or posts.
• Designated Drop Zone: Choose a specific location on your property where the wood can be dumped. Inform the delivery team of this spot in advance.
• Ground Conditions: The ground should be firm and level. Avoid soft, muddy, or uneven surfaces that could cause the truck to become bogged down.
• Turning Radius: Ensure there is enough space for the truck to turn around or back out safely without obstruction.
Standard Firewood:
• Size: Logs are split and cut to a ready-to-use size of 100-220mm to 310mm, approximately the size of a loaf of bread. Some pieces may be slightly larger or smaller.
• Quality: Our firewood is well-seasoned, ensuring optimal burning efficiency and minimal smoke.
We recommend buying your wood in the spring or summer. You can secure your firewood before the high-demand winter season, ensuring availability and avoiding potential shortages.
Storing firewood is easier in the spring or summer when weather conditions are more favourable. Proper storage ensures the wood remains dry and ready for use.
